Massimo d'Eufemia, born in Naples in 1961, holds degrees in International Law and Political Sciences; a Master of Public Administration from Scuola Superiore della Pubblica Amministrazione (Rome), attended Ecole Nationale d'Administration (Paris) and qualified as barrister at law in Italy.
In 1985, Mr d’Eufemia started his professional career at Italian Treasury as adviser in the Directorate for International Relations. From 1988 to 1992 he served as Deputy Director for M&A and Venture Capital activities of Banque Worms in France.
Mr d’Eufemia joined the European Investment Bank in 1993 as loan officer for lending operations in France. In 1998, he became Head of the Balkan Task Force coordinating the reconstruction program for South Eastern Europe.
Subsequently, he was appointed Head of Unit for Western Balkans and from 2004 to 2010 Deputy Head of Division for EIB operations in Poland.
In 2011 he joined the South-Eastern Europe Department as Managerial Adviser and from July 2013 Mr d’Eufemia has been appointed as Head of EIB Group Representation for Turkey. Since 2017, he is also Board Member of the Turkish Investment Initiative, a venture capital Fund managed by the European Investment Fund (EIF).
