Servisîmin graduated from Bosphorous University, Istanbul, Turkey in 1975 with a BA degree in finance and accounting. She obtained her MBA degree in finance from University of Rochester, New York, USA in 1977.
In her professinal career, she worked in the steel and textile industries as finance manager and assistant general manager positions between 1978 and 1991. She joined R.J. Reynolds Tobacco International in 1991 as director of finance to create and lead the finance and IT organizations in their greenfield operation in Turkey. In 1995 she became the country manager of Turkey, one of RJR’s flagship markets, becoming the first woman to ever acquire that position gobally in the company. In 1999, following the worldwide acqusition of the company by Japan Tobacco, she was promoted to regional vice president position in charge of both Turkey and Kazakhistan markets, a position she held until her retirement from professional life in 2006.
Servisîmin has become an entrepreneur in 2010 by founding her real estate development company and acted as the president until 2018. She currently runs the family owned olive oil production business in Ayvalik, her hometown on the west coast of Turkey.
Servisîmin is a member of Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGIDER). Between 2007-2009 she served on the board of Kagider as treasurer. Between 2015-2019 she was reelected to the board as treasurer and as Youth Strategy Group leader in charge of youth projects.
Servisîmin is currently serving on the board of Boğaziçi University Alumni Association. She is also the founding member of SES Equality and Solidarity Association (SES Esitlik ve Dayanisma Dernegi). Servisîmin believes in gender equality. In her social responsibility work she focuses on women’s empowerment and and young women’s entry into business life.
Servisîmin has one son aged 37.
