Metin Ayışık was born in 1961 and attended Saint Michel High School in Istanbul. Subsequently, he went on to graduate from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Business Administration – Statistics in 1983. He started his professional career at Beldesan, a Koç Holding company. From 1987 onwards, Mr. Ayışık served as a senior manager at various bank and non-bank investment firms active in the capital markets. He has held the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Association of Capital Market Intermediary Institutions of Turkey (TSPAKB), which works to enhance the capital markets environment in the country; Board Member of the Turkish Derivatives Market (VIOP); and Vice Chairman of the Capital Markets Licensing and Training Company. Metin Ayışık is currently Chairman of the Stock Exchange Brokerage Firm Directors Association (BAKYD). Before joining Gedik Investment in 2013, he served as CEO at Alternatif Menkul Kıymetler A.Ş. Metin Ayışık is married and has two children.
